German, Norwegian politicians and public figures to visit DPR – MFA

The visit of representatives of Germany and Norway to the Donetsk People's Republic will take place on February 19-20, reported the DPR Foreign Ministry.

"On Monday, February 19, 2018, under the patronage of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a delegation of politicians, entrepreneurs and members of humanitarian organizations from Germany and Norway is arriving in the Republic. The main purpose of the visit is the development of people's diplomacy between the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Norway and the Donetsk People's Republic," the report said.

The foreign department specified that the Chairman of the Left Party (Die Linke) faction in the Osnabrück region, head of the German People's Diplomacy project Andreas Maurer, a businessman from Lower Saxony Serge Funk, a representative of the German Asorix e.V humanitarian organization Stefan Brem, a representative of the Happy Children of Germany humanitarian organization Andreas Frauenstein, and a representative of the People's Diplomacy public organization in the Kingdom of Norway Hendrik Weber will be on the delegation.

The visit is expected to last two days. Guests will lay flowers at the Monument to the Lost Citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Lenin Komsomol park, visit the Republican Traumatology Centre and a local school. Following the results of the visit, a press conference will be held in Donetsk.
