Fuel prices to be reduced in LPR

Acting LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik instructed the Ministers Council Chairman Sergei Kozlov to reduce the cost of petroleum products, reported the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Lugansk People's Republic.

"The situation that has developed in the retail oil products market does not correspond to the financial capacities of most of the population of our Republic. The retail price of gasoline is not only an economic issue, but also a social one. Our economy has not yet gained the right turnovers," the Ministry quoted Pasechnik as saying.

According to the Acting Head of the LPR, the situation is complicated by the fact that the Republic is under the influence of the economic blockade on the part of Kiev.

"Under the current conditions, the cost of fuel in our Republic should not be higher than that in the neighbouring DPR," Pasechnik said.
