DPR schoolchildren received about 70 New Year's and Christmas cards sent by their Finnish peers, said the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

It is reported that the action "The exchange of New Year and Christmas messages between children of Donbass and Europe" is held at the initiative of the Representative Centers of the Donetsk People's Republic in European countries, with the support of the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In its framework, schoolchildren from Donbass send greeting cards to their peers in European countries, who in turn pass similar messages to the children of the Donetsk People's Republic.

"Today [on January 16], the first parcel with postcards was received within this action. Schoolchildren from such Finnish cities as Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, Lahti and Nurmes sent 70 New Year and Christmas messages to their Donbass peers. In the near future, these cards will be handed over to the students of schools of the Donetsk People's Republic," the statement by the MFA reads.

The DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the Finnish adherents and the Representative Center of the Republic in Finland, as well as the Finnish-Russian RUFI Association and its Chairman Daria Skippari-Smirnova for participating in this action and their readiness to support the inhabitants of Donbass in difficult times.
