DPR urges UN and OSCE to facilitate Kiev forces' withdrawal from 'grey zone'

The Command of the Donetsk People's Republic urges the leadership of the United Nations organization and the OSCE to demand that Kiev withdraw military units from the "grey zone" on the contact line in Donbass, stated the head of the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, Daniil Bezsonov.

"The Command of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic urges the leadership of the United Nations and the OSCE to demand from the Ukrainian side, in accordance with the agreements reached earlier, withdraw its armed formations from the occupied settlements in the 'grey zone' and from the positions in close proximity to civilian infrastructure facilities. In particular, from the Donetsk Filtering Station," Bezsonov said.

He noted that these measures would significantly reduce the tension in such areas, exclude "the danger to life and health of employees of the utility enterprise that serves the DFS."

Bezsonov said that the Ukrainian units' approaching to vital civilian facilities is critical. He said: there is concern that the Ukrainian forces intend to occupy another point in the "grey zone" on the contact line in Donbass.

He recalled that earlier the Ukrainian forces had occupied the settlements of Gladosovo and Travnevoye, located in the so-called "demilitarized zone."

Earlier, the Director General of the Voda Donbassa ("Water of Donbass") company Oleg Mokry told that due to the bombardment of employees' cars, the Donetsk Filtering Station, which provides water to almost 400 thousand people on both sides of the contact line, can be suspended.

On Wednesday, March 14, a DPR representative to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire said that the station's management and staff had decided to continue working, provided that the security issue was resolved in the near future.
