DPR minimum pension exceeds Ukrainian payments

The DPR provides elderly people with better social security conditions then Ukraine, Galina Sagaidakova, Chairperson of the DPR Pension Fund, told about the true facts pointing to this. Shortly before the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko informed residents of the Republic about the upcoming increase in pensions since October 1, 2017.

“The most basic and labour-intensive task was to carry out this recalculation that was established by the Decree of the DPR Head of October 1, 2017. The amount of pension payments for citizens of the Republic has increased by 5%. The recalculation was carried out for about 680 thousand pensioners, it relates to absolutely everyone. As a result of the recalculation, the minimum pension rose to 2,730 RUB from 2,600 RUB. And the average pension payment rose to 4,387 RUB from 4,194 RUB,” she said.

The Chairperson of the DPR Pension Fund drew attention to the fact that the minimum pension in the Republic exceeded the minimum pension in Ukraine.

“I want to emphasize that the minimum pension in Ukraine makes 2,624 RUB (recalculating UAH) at the moment; accordingly, the average pension is less by 613 RUB (recalculating UAH). These figures are real, taken from the official website of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and recalculated to the Russian rubbles,” Galina Sagaidakova stressed.
