DPR Head doubts Ukraine’s capability to observe new ceasefire in Donbass

The Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko doubts Ukraine’s readiness to cease fire even if the parties to the conflict in Donbass coordinate the truce since September 1st, the Head of State stated this on August 10.

“As experience shows, any ceasefire lasts maximum four hours. Then the ordinary war stats which lasts not for a year already,” said Alexander Zakharchenko replying to the question on the possible ceasefire establishment by the beginning of a new academic year.

It should be noted that the latest agreement on ceasefire and its observation in Donbass was reached by the participants of the Contact Group on June 21 in Minsk.

Before about ten ceasefires were coordinated but none of them was fully observed. Most of the time, Ukrainian servicemen violated the ceasefire straight after its formal entering into force.
