On Thursday, February 16, the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic took part in the commissioning of a new longwall at the mine "Progress" of state enterprise "Torezantratsit".
The new longwall is mounted at the depth of 1325 meters. Its length is 300 meters, seam thickness – 1.2 meters, reserves are estimated at 650 thousand tons of coal. The longwall is equipped with a mechanized complex 2KD-90, a combine harvester CGS-10, a scraper conveyor SP-251.13.
Miners plan to mine in the longwall at least 1,200 tons of coal per day, which will allow the mine "Progress" to work with a load of 2300-2400 tons a day.
Company executives told the DPR Head about the progress of the new longwall's launch and about the equipment installed in the working face.
As Alexander Zakharchenko noted when talking to journalists, commissioning of the new longwall is important for the Republic both from political and economic points of view.
"Firstly, it is a clear indication that our Republic continues to recover and grow. We are opening new enterprises, longwalls, launch factories. We are moving forward in spite of all the enemies. Secondly, it is very important from an economic point of view. This means new jobs, increased coal production, and additional revenues in the budget," Alexander Zakharchenko said.
The DPR Head also commented on the actions of the Ukrainian radicals who blocked the railway lines on which Donbass supplied coal to Kiev-controlled territory for CHPs.
"For us, it is not fatal, we have fuel. But in Ukraine, these actions have quite bad consequences. In fact, with this action they recognized the dependence of Ukraine from the Donbass coal, and I think that Ukraine itself will get rid of these radicals. If the situation isn't changed dramatically, very soon Kiev can forget about heat and power," the DPR Head stressed.
In addition, Alexander Zakharchenko spoke to the enterprise team and answered questions asked by miners. In particular, there were questions on pricing, republican social policy. Also, the mine workers complained of poor performance in their city of "Phoenix" public mobile communications operator. The Head answered all the questions, and about "Phoenix" he has promised to give the order to establish high quality mobile communication.
At the end of his working visit to Torez Alexander Zakharchenko was awarded the gratitude from the team of "Torezantratsit" and a souvenir - the first piece of coal from the new longwall.
