DPR General Prosecutor's Office opens investigation for Mikhail Tolstykh's homicide

The DPR General Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case on the terrorist attack conducted on February 8, in which  the Republic's Hero, commander of Somalia battalion Colonel Mikhail Tolstykh (aka. "Givi") had been killed, reported a representative of the State Security Ministry.

"The General Prosecutor's Office of the DPR brought a criminal case under article 229, part 3 — act of terrorism," said the security official.

According to Republic's MGB representative, investigative actions are ongoing at the moment, circumstances of the accident have been established already. Besides, the investigation team already obtained primary data on performers of the crime.

It's worth reminding that Tolstykh perished early in the morning on February 8. The explosion was caused by a man-portable rocket-launcher Shmel. According to preliminary data of the DPR Operational Command, the murder was committed by intelligence agencies of Ukraine. At that the adviser to the Interior Minister of Ukraine, Zoryan Shkiryak could be involved in this crime.
