DPR doctors help people in need as humanitarian program part

From the beginning of the year, specialists of the Donetsk Republican Cancer Center named after Bondar helped more than 240 residents from the Kiev-controlled territories within the humanitarian program on reunification of Donbass people, DPR Health Ministry, Press-Service reports.

"Since the beginning of 2018, specialists of the Republican Cancer Center named after Bondar have provided assistance to 242 patients from the territory which is under Ukraine's control within the humanitarian program for the reunification of Donbass people," the press service noted.

The Ministry of Health specified that 162 patients received chemotherapy treatment, another 80 – assistance concerning surgical intervention.

Thus, the inhabitant of Mariupol Olga decided to apply to the republican specialists after the refusal of local doctors to help her.

"I went to a local hospital, where I, frankly, was refused in an extremely incorrect form. I knew that in Donetsk there was a Republican oncology center. Here are really very good doctors who immediately sent me for further examination and prescribed the necessary treatment, and thanks to the humanitarian program, it's also free," noted Olga.
