DPR Command’s weary of provocations by Ukrainian fighters in Russian uniform

The Operational Command of the Donetsk People's Republic in concerned that the Ukrainian forces may organize a provocation using a Russian-style military uniform in the Svetlodarsk area of the Donbass, stated Eduard Basurin, the Vice-Commander of the DPR Operational Command.

"We do not rule out provocations by the Ukrainian forces on the contact line, intended to prepare fabricated evidence of the presence of Russian troops in the Donbass," Basurin said.

According to the DPR reconnaissance, three trucks with fighters "in the Russian-standard military uniform" were detected in the Svetlodarsk area.

"We appeal to the OSCE mission with a request to help prevent illegal actions by the Ukrainian forces destabilizing the situation in the area," Basurin said.

Previously, Kiev has repeatedly accused Moscow of interfering in the affairs of Ukraine. Russia denies this and calls such accusations unacceptable. The Russian Defense Ministry has many times reported it never supplied the self-defense forces of the Donbass Republics with military equipment, ammunition or other assistance. The defense department called such Kiev's statements on the issue "absolute nonsense", which "cannot stand any criticism." And Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that claims concerning the presence of Russian military forces in the Donbass region were unsubstantiated – no one has yet been able to provide concrete facts, despite repeated accusations.
