DPR ‘disrupts’ international forum in Ukraine

The head of the Lvov regional state administration Oleg Sinyutka made a scandal during the International Security Forum, Ukrainian media reports.

"The Donbass territories were marked on the map as the People's Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. Sinyutka stepped onto the stage and began to protest against this to the forum moderator Miroslava Gongadze, vice speaker Oksana Syroyed, and the mayor of the city Andrei Sadovoy who had started the first day of the event," the report said.

The governor of the Lvov region called the forum "an element of hybrid war and provocation" and left the forum room.

Later, Sinyutka’s comment on the occurred situation appeared on the website of the Lvov Regional State Administration.

"We are in Lvov at such an important conference and I think that today this is a provocative turn against the invited speakers... I believe that this is a hybrid war element that is directed against Ukraine in order to destabilize the situation in the Lvov region," Sinyutka stressed.

The report also indicates that Sinyutka has applied to the SBU with a demand to carry out an inspection and bring to justice those involved in the incident.

The Lvov forum is international. Experts from the United States, Canada, Europe and Ukraine are among the speakers.
