The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense. The enemy subtly lowered the number of ceasefire violations, however, they increased the application of mortars of various calibers.
In the Donetsk direction, the areas of Spartak, Staromikhailovka were targeted with five mortar shells of 68 of 82-mm calibre, as well as small arms.
In the Gorlovka direction, the AFU hit the area of Zaitsevo and Dolomitnoye with 19 120-mm mortar shells, also firing from IFV.
In the Mariupol direction, Sakhanka locality was targeted. The foe applied mortars of 82-mm calibre, having launched eight mortar shells.
A total of five violations of the cease-fire regime by the AFU were recorded in the course of the past 24 hours.
As a result of mortar shelling on part of the AFU, a house in Zaitsevo on Esenina Street, 16 was damaged.
The enemy continues to build up a grouping in the zone of the so-called 'ATO' and pull up heavy weapons to the line of contact, thus violating the agreements reached. In the vicinity of the settlement of Dzerzhinsk there was marked the movement of four tanks and six mortars with the 120-mm caliber by vehicles to reinforce the units of the 24 separate mechanized brigades in the Gorlovka direction.
According to the information we have, the president of Ukraine Poroshenko was strongly recommended by the American curators who conducted an inspection of the Ukrainian troops, to personally to monitor the elimination of the identified shortcomings. In this regard, the arrival of the president of Ukraine in the so-called 'ATO' zone with a test of the combat readiness of the AFU formations and military units is expected on March 1. Given the relatively short deadlines, the Ukrainian military command increased the supply of ammunition, fuel and food to create the reserves that the troops needed to conduct offensive operations.
The commander of the so-called 'ATO' General Zabrodsky assigned the task to subordinate units to intensify the activities of sabotage and reconnaissance groups near the contact line on the eve of the Day of Defender of the Fatherland. To the arrival of his master, Zabrodsky intends to report to him about the "combat successes" and the results achieved under his personal command. At the same time, he promised the most distinguished commanders a high state award from the hands of Poroshenko himself.
In this regard, in the near future the enemy intends to conduct a series of military sorties in the front line. The press center of the so-called 'ATO' is tasked, together with correspondents of Ukrainian TV channels, to cover up the actions of Ukrainian saboteurs, spreading false information in the media aimed at accusing the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic of violating the Minsk agreements.
