Donetsk Defense, Situation Report, 01/08/2018

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) shelled the area of the locality of YASINOVATAYA with IFVs, grenade launchers and small arms.

The other day the Defense Ministry of Ukraine happily reported on the disbandment of the Central Military Medical Administration and the formation of the Main Military Medical Administration.

The most interesting thing is that the main reason for this reformation was the introduction of additional general positions, as well as the creation of a precedent for getting rid of unwanted officials by dismissal in connection with organizational and staff arrangements.

In addition, there were allocated more than a BILLION Hryvnia to carry out this so-called "Reform" of military medicine, and as a matter of fact it's the usual renaming. This amount is more than one-hundredth of the total military budget of Ukraine for 2018.

At the same time, if we return to the problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in matters of medical support, we can recollect that at present, all units without exception, turn to volunteer organizations for help, first of all they ask for haemostatic drugs. The second, according to the deficit in the troops, is antiviral drugs that are especially in short supply on the frontline of the AFU.

This winter has turned out to be warm and rainy, so the virus infections spread faster than usual.

At the present time, according to the report of the same Main Military Medical Administration, among the servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, performing combat missions in the so-called "ATO" zone, every second is infected and has a cold. And sanitary losses due to acute respiratory viral infections increased by 2.5 times.

Thus, once again, we can see that the increase in the military budget of Ukraine is not aimed at developing and maintaining combat readiness and combat readiness of the AFU, but on stealing budgetary funds, increasing the bureaucracy in the General Staff and creating "warm" posts for relatives of military commanders.
And soldiers of Ukrainian armed forces will receive pills and bandages from Ukrainian volunteers.

We also got to know about the next emergency incident in the "ATO" zone.

On January 2nd, while conducting training under the personal leadership of the "ATO" commander M.Zabrodsky in the 28th separate mechanized brigade, the T-64 tank, just returned from repair, was burnt. Armored vehicles moved in the restricted area  at night, where heavy weapons are prohibited, the direction was Granitnoe-Anadol.

In connection with sloppiness, lack of control over subordinates and violation of fire safety measures, gasoline poured on the tank's hull. At the same time, the military personnel smoked and used lighters for lighting. The flared rags and gasoline leaks set the transmission of the tank on fire, the fire spread with great speed and the ammunition of the tank detonated. As a result, apart from the T-64 tank, the weapon losses amounted to: two AKMU-74 assault rifles which are the weapons of the crew members, who barely managed to escape the explosion and were shell-shocked. The grief-tankmen are in the hospital. This example shows that it is dangerous to provide new equipment and powerful weapons to unskilled officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Armed gangs of the AFU can inflict losses on both themselves and civilians who are close to them.
