The Donbass Development Center (DDC) humanitarian mission is planning to provide grocery assistance to more than 35 thousand senior citizens before the winter, Mission Press-Service reports.
“The Donbass Development Center with the assistance of suppliers keep rendering humanitarian assistance to the residents of the region. So far, food packages are given to the people aged from 75 who receive a minimum pension amounting to 2,730 rubles. More than 3,000 people have already received assistance. Over 35 thousand people in need will have been rendered assistance by the beginning of December,” says a statement.
Reportedly, it is planned to distribute 4000 food sets more over the next few days.
According to the Mission, one package comprises two kg of beech-wheat, rise, pea, pasta, flour, 1kg of sugar, one l of oil and 200g of iodized salt. Distribution takes place in Donetsk, Gorlovka, Torez, Debaltsevo, Snezhnoye, Yasinovataya and other cities of the Republic.
The Donbass Development Center was created and officially accredited in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as a humanitarian mission on October 8, 2015. For two years of work, the Donbass Development Center rendered assistance to about 400 thousand residents of the region.
