Court session on DPR representation in France postponed until March 1

The court of the French city of Aix-en-Provence has postponed the hearings scheduled for Thursday, January 11, on the case of the closure of the Representative Center of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in Marseilles, France, to March 1, reported the Head of the Representation Huber Fayard. The information was confirmed by Agence France Press.

"The case was to be tried today [on January 11 – ed.], but our lawyer insisted on postponement, now the consideration date is March 1. The matter is that the summons came in the midst of preparations for Christmas and the lawyer had no time to fully familiarize himself with the case in order to build a defense line," Fayard said.

At the end of December 2017, Fayard said that he had received a summons to the court of Aix-en-Provence, which would try the case of closing the Representation.

The Representative Center of the Donetsk People's Republic was opened in the city of Marseilles in the south of France on September 25. The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the representation had been registered in the country as an association and did not have diplomatic status and corresponding immunity.
