Breaking: Two explosions shake Saur-Mogila area before Victory Day celebrations

Two explosions have occurred on the highway in the DPR’s Shakhtyorsky district in the area of ​​the Saur-Mogila memorial complex right before the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory, where the Republic’s Head Alexander Zakharchenko was heading. No casualties reported.

The highway is closed. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes.

Meanwhile, according to a representative of one of the law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk People's Republic, an operational headquarters for the explosions on the route near the Saur-Mogila memorial had been established in the DPR.

"As of the current situation resulted from the explosions on the highway near the Saur-Mohyla, an operational headquarters has been set up, including the DPR Interior, State Security, and Emergency Situations Ministries. At the moment, they are examining the explosion site, identifying the type of the exploded ammunition.

Reportedly, two demolition munitions had been planted, and one of them was detonated.

According to the Republic's Head administration, the explosions were organized by Ukraine to frighten the public.

Representatives of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations are inspecting the territory around the Saur-grave memorial complex for the presence of planted explosives.
