Avakov urges Ukraine’s National Police and Guard to prepare to operate in Donbass

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov has urged the National Police and the National Guard of the country to prepare for work in the territories of Donbass.

According to him, these areas will soon return under the control of Kiev, "and there it will be necessary to monitor the order." The minister warned that this would be "very hard work." "We must prepare for it now," he concluded.

The head of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine added that at the moment the law enforcers were distracted from the real actions by "false rallies", held in Ukraine.

Earlier, Avakov announced the imminent creation of the "Crimean traffic police", which, however, will have to work on other sites – supposedly temporarily, until Kiev returns the peninsula under its control. The Crimean authorities noted that the emergence of another "virtual" structure is probably due to the fact that the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs lacks money from the budget.
