Author of book on Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic meets Donetsk readers

Politologist, author of the book “Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic: Shot dream” Vladimir Kornilov held the meeting with his readers in the “Russian Center” in the Donetsk Republican Universal Scientific Library named after N.K. Krupskaya.

In total, about 500 people gathered in the hall - this is more than the hall of the "Russian Center" could accommodate. Many were sitting on the side chairs or stood in the aisle.

“I am from Donetsk, I came here to visit my mother and old friends. But apart from  it now the 100th anniversary of the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Republic , and I as the author of for now the only book about the DKR should be in Donetsk,” said Kornilov talking to journalists.

During the meeting the author told about the creation of the book about the DKR, and also answered questions of the audience. The historian made historical parallels between the events of different years and the realities of the war in Donbass.

The Great Patriotic War was monstrous, both in terms of destruction, and in the number of human victims. But even in the history of this tragic confrontation there was no such case that for many years fighting was conducted within the limits of one city, one district, one region. The thing  that our Donbass is experiencing now is the horror that no region experienced during the Great Patriotic War, "Kornilov said.

The whole event lasted an hour and a half. At the end of the meeting, the audience could receive a free book about the DKR and take author’s autograph.
