500 Donetsk houses damaged by Ukrainian forces fire to be restored in 2017

DPR authorities plan to restore 500 residential houses in the Donetsk’s frontline Petrovsky district, which were damaged by Ukrainian forces shelling, district administration head Maksim Zhukovsky states.

“In 2017, we plan to restore 500 residential houses in the Petrovsky district as part of the 3rd phase of rebuilding,” Zhukovskiy said. “These are the houses that sustained 30 percent damage to roof, façade and windows.”

Overall, 2,430 houses in the Petrovsky district were damaged in Kiev offensive: 1,950 private properties and 480 apartment houses; 102 residential houses were fully destroyed, and about 100 have not been inspected because of their proximity to the field of fire, local officials said.
