According to the recent OSCE SMM report, 398 peaceful residents of the Donbass have been killed or injured in 2017.
Along with that, the fighting has been stepped up in the region, the Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug said.
According to Hug, the number of violations has increased by 60% compared to last week.
"Only this week we recorded about 10,000 violations of the ceasefire. This figure is the highest since mid-June," the OSCE Principal Deputy Chief Monitor said.
Let us recall that earlier Hug said that there was a risk of aggravation of the situation in the conflict zone in the Donbass. At the same time, the OSCE SMM representative noted that "a political decision is needed to settle the conflict."
