Malorossiya - Zakharchenko announces creation of new state [TV Report]

A “Donbass Speaks” Forum has been held in the DPR capital this day. Within the framework of the assembly, representatives of the regions of the former Ukraine, except the Crimea, declared the establishment of the state of Malorossiya, the legal successor of Ukraine.

According to the Forum’s participants, such a decision will become the only way to prevent the country’s disintegration and decline. At that, it provides for an opportunity of peaceful settlement of the Donbass conflict.

"We are offering all the citizens of the former Ukraine a way out of the war. This is the country’s re-establishment.
This solution is peaceful. But it may only be actualized under several conditions," said Alexander Zakharchenko, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

"Firstly, citizens of the former Ukraine should themselves support us. Here I should say that we have already held consultations with adequate representatives of business and authoritative bodies of some regions and they did agree with us. And we will continue such consultations. Secondly, this solution is possible only if the global community, its part involved in the conflict, supports our idea and acts as a mediator," he continued.

"Herewith, only international players are those institutions capable of keeping Kiev from drowning Donbass in blood in response to our peaceful proposal. I hope that western politicians have still preserved some sense of honour and consciousness (though, frankly speaking, I doubt it) and they will not exchange their vested interests for tens of thousands of innocent lives. Thus, this proposal is for citizens of the former Ukraine and politicians of Europe and the United States of America," Zakharchenko said.

"I would like to say that this is not only the first our proposal, but, at that, the last one. I repeat: the last one. It is backed not only by our Armed Forces, but also our will to victory," he concluded.

At the Forum there were presented the Political Declaration and the Constitutional Act of Malorossiya. Both documents were adopted unanimously by representatives of the regions of the former Ukraine.

Along with that, an Organizing Committee, composed of three persons, has been established today: DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko, DPR Vice Prime-Minister Alexander Timofeyev, and Vyacheslav Gubin. Their responsibilities will include drafting necessary documents, holding negotiations with representatives of the Malorossian regions, and also informing international institutions and all the concerned persons of the proposal for establishment of a new state.

Results of the Committee’s work will be made public at the next assembly which, presumably, will be held in August of the current year.
