United Donbass Fund pays out nearly 24mn rubles to people in need

The United Donbass Fund public organization paid out monetary assistance totaling nearly 24 million rubles to needy residents of the region since the beginning of the current year, Fund Chairman Oleg Balykin states. 

“As part of implementing the humanitarian program on reunification of Donbass people, the United Donbass Fund public organization kept rendering assistance to those people who have difficult life-situations. Thus, from January 1st to March 27th 2018 there were made 680 payments totaling 23, 761, 000 rubles,” pointed out Balykin. 

He added that the Fund Commission was going to consider more than 450 sets of documents at a regular session. 
It should be noted that the fund began working in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on March 9, 2017. 

Assistance is rendered both by means of monetary payment and of products, medical supplies, including those from the residents of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). 

Nine categories have a right to be provided with assistance. 

Physically-challenged people, single mothers and fathers with under-age children, families with three and more under-age children, citizens from 65 years old and others are among them.
