Ukrainian forces violate 'Easter truce' twice over day, attacks' number dropped sharply – JCCC

Two ceasefire violations committed by the Ukrainian troops were registered over the past 24 hours, reported the Head of the DPR Representative Office to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime, Ruslan Yakubov.

"The Representation of the Donetsk People's Republic to the JCCC notifies: for the past day, a total of two violations by the AFU were recorded," the report said.

Yakubov said that the DPR territory had undergone shelling with mounted anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms and light weapons. In the shelling zone there were the areas of Staromikhailovka and Trudovskiye settlements in the western suburbs of Donetsk. In total, the Ukrainian forces engaged five pieces of ammunition.

Notably, that in the previous day the number of munitions fired at the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic amde 194 pieces, and the "silence regime" was violated 19 times.

Let us recall that the "Easter" truce, initiated by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko, began to operate in Donbass on March 30 midnight. Silence on the fronts did not last long. After only 9,5 hours, the first violations by the Ukrainian troops were registered.
