Russian film director Menshov donates million rubbles for DPR children's needs

A million rubbles donated to the Donetsk People's Republic by the Russian actor and film director Vladimir Menshov will be channelled for the needs of the DPR boarding schools and orphanages, stated the Head of State, Alexander Zakharchenko.

"Many thanks to this man. This is a serious action. This million will be passed to boarding schools and orphanages," said the DPR Head.

Notably, on April 5, writer Zakhar Prilepin wrote on his Facebook page that Menshov had brought to his television program "Tea with Zakhar" a package with one million rubbles and a computer as an aid for the Donbas. At that, the film director refused to go on TV screen.

Vladimir Menshov is a Soviet and Russian theatre, film and television actor, film director, screenwriter and producer. In 1981, he received the USSR State Prize and the Oscar in the nomination "The Best Film in a Foreign Language" for the film “Moscow does not believe in tears”.
