Putin, Merkel, Maсron and Poroshenko adopted a statement, they welcome the agreement on an armistice on the occasion of the Easter holiday, the Kremlin reports.

Leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine Vladimir Putin, Emmanuelle Macron, Angela Merkel and Pyotr Poroshenko will consider in the coming months how to accelerate the implementation of the Minsk accords.

"The leaders of the Normandy format countries reaffirm their commitment to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on all their aspects (security, political, humanitarian and economic issues) and will consider possible ways to accelerate the implementation of the agreements in the coming months," says a statement. The document is quoted by the press service of the Kremlin.

The statement also says that the heads of the Quartet called for intensifying efforts to exchange POWs according to "all for all" formula.

"Against the backdrop of the successful exchange of more than 300 detainees on December 27, 2017, they called for more active efforts to exchange the remaining detainees under the formula "all for all," the text notes.
