The number of state-funded places in the Donetsk National University increased nearly by a third this year in comparison to 2016, reports the university’s principal, Svetlana Bespalova.
“The Donetsk National University started the enrollment campaign in time, smoothly and with a great optimism. I believe, the main peculiarity of this year’s campaign was a great amount of state-funded places. In comparison to the past year it increased nearly by a thousand places. This year the university was allocated 3, 443 state-funded places,” said Bespalova.
Apart from it, according to the principal, the number of enrollees increased considerably. Thus, last year 3, 600 school leavers were recorded, and this year over 4, 700 future students have sent over 8, 000 requests to enter the university. Bespalova also underlined that the most popular faculties were the faculty of law, the historical faculty, the faculty of philology and the faculty of foreign languages.
