The company Nike has issued a series of T-shirts with the LDNR logo, dedicated to the London marathon, which angered the Ukrainian media.
The logo published on the company's website is accompanied by the text: "Get ready to show the world that Nothing Beats a Londoner." Thus, most likely, the logo stands for "Londoner".
However, the Ukrainian media are outraged by the Nike's using LDNR abbreviation, by which Kiev authorities denote the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
Thus, the Apostrophe writes that the LDNR has "some connotation" with the LDPR (LPR and DPR), and the Internet newspaper Obozrevatel noted that the new company logo could be "perceived ambiguously".
The conflict in Donbass has continued since the spring of 2014, when Kiev launched a military operation against the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. According to the UN, more than ten thousand people have become victims of the conflict.
