Kremlin reminds of consequences of US lethal weapons' deliveries to Ukraine

Moscow has repeatedly stated possible negative consequences of the supply of American lethal weapons to Ukraine, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"This stance of Moscow is well known in Washington, it has been repeatedly brought to the attention of our American colleagues, that's why they are well aware of this in Washington," he said, answering the question whether Moscow was discussing the signing of a plan for supplying Kiev with new American weapons.

Last week, Donald Trump signed the US budget for the 2018 fiscal year. In particular, it provides for allocation of 620,7 million dollars to Ukraine, including 200 million for military and technical assistance.

Earlier, the US administration approved the supply of weapons to Kiev, including Javelin portable antitank missile systems. Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern about these plans, stressing that the US actions will not help resolve the conflict in Donbass, but will only lead to its escalation.
