Kiev prepares for 'some revenge' in Donbass – Russian OSCE envoy

Russian Federation's permanent representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said that Kiev, having changed the format of the Ukrainian troops' operation and having passed the law on the reintegration of Donbass, is preparing for "some kind of revenge."

"So all the signs that Ukraine is apparently preparing for some kind of revenge are evident, therefore, the tension is increasing. And, to a large extent, an adequate response from both the OSCE community and, first of all, our monitoring mission will now be required," the Ambassador said on air of the Russia 24 TV channel, commenting on the change in format and the Donbass reintegration law.

President of Ukraine Pyotr Poroshenko said on March 16 that the regime of the "antiterrorist operation" in Donbass was completed, and the regime of the "Joint Forces' operation" was introduced. At the same time, the Ukrainian president appointed Lieutenant-General Sergei Nayev as commander of the Joint Forces in Donbass. Nayev said that he did not intend to contact the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, he would speak to them "in the language of military force."
