DPR Head prolongs humanitarian programme for Donbass people reunification

DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko signed a decree on the extension of the humanitarian programme to reunify the people of Donbass in 2018. The corresponding document was published today on the official portal of the Republic.

"Taking into account the inseparable social, cultural, economic and professional ties that unite the people of Donbass, with the aim of maintaining and strengthening them, as well as providing the necessary social support to the DPR people on the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine, I resolve to approve for 2018 the humanitarian programme for the reunification of the Donbass people," the text of the decree says.

According to the document, the co-ordination of the implementation of the humanitarian programme is entrusted to DPR Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Nikonorova. The execution of the order is controlled by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic Dmitri Trapeznikov.

We remind that since February 17, 2017, the humanitarian programme on the reunification of the Donbass people is working in the DPR. It includes rendering medical, financial and legal assistance to residents of Kiev-controlled territory, creating quotas for them to receive higher and secondary special education, holding joint sports events with residents of the Republic, as well as educational activities aimed at preserving the spiritual and cultural values of the region.
