Donetsk civilian touches off mine on western outskirt of city

A Donetsk civilian was wounded as a result of a mine explosion in the front zone on the western outskirt of the Republic's capital. This was announced today by the head of the administration of the Petrovsky district Maxim Zhukovsky.

"Yesterday at about 19.30, heading across the field toward Maryinka (controlled by the Ukrainian law enforcement bodies - ed.), a resident of the Proletarsky district of Donetsk, a 46 year-old man, tripped a mine," Zhukovsky said.

He added that as a result of the explosion, the victim lost his left foot. Now he is on treatment at the Republican Traumatology Center.
