Bypassing the Customs and the tax office, believers of the “Kiev Patriarchate” imported to Ukraine hundreds of tons of ‘gumanitarian” auto parts, artificial grass and other charitable aid through the dummy Patriarch's charitable mission.
It is stated in the investigation of the channel 17, reports The Politnavigator.
It was Filaret, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kiev Patriarchate (UOC-KP), who addressed the Ministry of Social Policy with a request to assist duty-free import of such "humanitarian aid" to Ukraine.
‘I ask you to recognize goods that will arrive in the Church Fund of the Patriarchal charitable mission as charitable aid and to facilitate the speedy clearance of documents. I implore God's blessing on you,’ said the letter that came to hands of the editorial office.
Then the Ministry of Social Policy sends a letter, signed by the deputy Minister Ivankevich, to the Security Service, the Interior Ministry and the State Fiscal service, in which the Ministry requests that the three cargoes -110 tonnes of auto parts, the same amount of clothes and almost 6000 square meters of artificial grass - be recognised as humanitarian aid. After the working group considered the application of the UOC-KP and did not see a justification for humanitarian aid in it, the charitable foundation corrected their application and sent it again. However, it already contained a request for 396 tons of spare parts, 484 tons of clothing and 480 tons of used bed linen and shoes.
Journalists wondered who could provide Ukraine with such amount of humanitarian aid. Having studied a complete list of goods that were to be brought to Ukraine via the UOC-KP philanthropists, the authors of the program found that they has been sent from the UK company SOLO Communications LP, which was founded by two offshore companies, - the Poramto group and the ADMIRAL group, registered in Belize. The same companies founded another firm, the Kulberg int. Traiding LLP, which, according to the Ukrainian customs export base, exported products of the Vinnytsia bakery from Ukraine. It is noteworthy that this company officially belongs to the President of Ukraine Poroshenko.
The scandal is quite likely to continue, as in March of this year the latest batch of 120 tonnes of such "humanitarian aid" was detained by the State Fiscal office that initiated the investigation on its importation. It was found that the aid was not to be sent to the war-affected Lugansk and Donetsk regions, but straight to Odessa and Kharkov markets.
‘I can show what humanitarian aid was brought to the ATO veterans, it is sneakers for the youth, decorated with rhinestones, it is the ‘second-hand’. Can you imagine it? The ATO veterans will wear clothes with naked women on it,’ said Roman Potapov, the head of the operational department of the State Fiscal Service, adding that for a few months the Patriarchal charitable mission had delivered to Ukraine 260 tons of goods.
