Today, on August 24, the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic paid a working visit to the town of Makeyevka. Alexander Zakharchenko congratulated all Makeyevka residents on the upcoming holidays - Town Day and the Miner's Day. The Head of State thanked all the residents for the fact that, despite the war time, the town continued to work and develop.
"Makeyevka is often called the satellite of the capital. But, I believe that Makeyevka is a town with its own character. The town of strong and hardworking people. Makeyevka is a town of miners, metallurgists, doctors and teachers. This town is a hard worker and a warrior town. Thank you all for the fact that the town lives and works. I want to express the words of special gratitude to the Guard of Labour. I congratulate all the miners of Makeyevka on their professional holiday! I wish Makeyevka prosperity, and let coal and metal supply be uninterrupted, the happiest children be born. Let the town be the most beautiful and landscaped. In the end, it's time to surpass Donetsk!" said the Head of State.
Also, by the Decree of the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic, the head of the Makeyevka Council Valery Lyakhovets was awarded the Medal "For Labour Valour". The mayor received the award personally from the hands of Alexander Zakharchenko.
Valery Lyakhovets thanked the Head of State for his kind words and support. "Believe me, people living in Makeyevka are devoted to the Republic. We will always support you in all your endeavors," he said.
The head of the administration presented Alexander Zakharchenko with the coat of arms of Makeyevka as an honorary resident of the town.
